Here are my 2 coupon organizers.
Both were purchased at Target and both are from the OrganizHer brand. For this part I'll be sharing with you how I use the smaller binder.
This binder comes with 2 plastic dividers complete with pockets. The 1st plastic divider has designated areas where you can store your store reward cards (even the key chain size ones, it's great). Then it has another plastic divider with a side seal (similar to a Ziploc bag). I'll tell you how I use this one later on.
This binder also comes with tons of blank shopping lists and a shopping list divider. It also includes a coupon divider and 6 folders that you can label for specific shops.
My 6 folders are labeled Walgreens, Target, Clothing Stores (ex: Victoria Secret, Express, etc), Shoe Stores (ex: Payless, Famous Footwear), Commissary (military coupons), and Safeway.
In these folders I keep coupons that are just for those stores and since this binder is the same size as a typical planner it fits perfectly in my purse. This way I don't have to worry about lugging around a big binder whenever I need to make a quick trip to the store.
I mainly use this binder though for my weekly trips to Walgreens. Walgreens is by far my favorite place to shop since they accept store coupons, manufacturer coupons, and register rewards all on the same transaction. It's pretty sweet.
On a typical Walgreen shopping trip I would plan out what items I need on Sunday since that's when their new flyers come out. I write out my list, and store all the necessary coupons in the Walgreens folder. I also try to go to Walgreens on Tuesday since our Walgreens offers "Military Tuesdays" where they give you an additional 15% off your total purchase if you show military ID. Seriously guys, this is why I love to shop at Walgreens!
Once I'm there I take out my little pink binder and my list. Then I start shopping for my items. I store all the coupons I was able to use in that plastic divider with the side seal. Once I've gotten all my items I head to the register and since I stored all the coupons I used in the plastic divider I don't have to worry about sorting through which ones I used or didn't use.
I use this same technique for all the other stores I have listed on the folders in this binder. It definitely makes shopping at those stores quick and easy.
So that's how I organize my coupons part 1. Part 2 will be about what I store in that big grey binder...
