I'm the lady behind Thrifty and Fabulous the Lifestyle Blog, the mother of 2 crazy kiddos, a wife to an amazing husband (who  also happens to be a soldier in the United States Army), and a pet owner to one dog-gone spoiled pooch.

Wait, what's that? You want to know more?
Well then here goes nothing!

I grew up an Air Force Brat which meant I was fortunate enough to have grown up all over the world!  Well just about anyway.  By the time I was a 18 years old I had already lived in Utah, Arizona, Florida, Germany, England, North Dakota, and California.

I met my husband while we were in High School.  I guess you could say we were High School sweethearts and we've been married for 14 years. We've been stationed at Fort Stewart, Georgia (where our son was born) and are currently stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado (where our daughter was born).  My husband has been deployed 5 times and also spent a year in Korea (on unaccompanied orders).  Last time we did the math I think he's spent something like 6 1/2 years away from his family, all while defending our country. I don't know about you but that's sacrifice if I've ever seen it.

You will find this blog to be an extension of my creative self.  Lots of tutorials, diy projects, gluten free recipes, my favorite beauty finds, thrifty tips and tricks, ramblings, and of course my latest shop additions, just to name a few.

So feel free to stick around and see what inspires you!

  1. Love your blog and love that you are a military family! I am going to add your button to my blog :)

  2. Good to get to know you :) Stopping by from SITs! Would love some pics of your family here too :)

    1. Hi Kate! Thank you so much for stopping by. I don't post pictures of my children here on my blog (however my personal FB page is plastered with nothing but pics of my kiddos and dog, haha) but adding more pictures to this page is a great suggestion. Thanks for the tip!

  3. Stopping by from the SITS hop :) I like that you added a photo of yourself and that you give so much great background information. I would maybe add links to your most popular posts or to some of your social media profiles (or both!) to get people moving around your blog once they land on your about page.

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by Trish! And thanks for the great link tips! I have my popular posts located on the right side bar and 4 social media links at the very top of the page. Since these links are visible on every page of my blog (including my About page) I didn't want to overwhelm my readers with the same links over and over again. However, I have seen other blogs that include links to personal posts on their About page. I might have to include those and like you mentioned that might help get people moving around my blog :)
